Our yet-to-be-properly-named, Brand New Community Orchestra is open to all levels of violin, viola, cello, and double bass players. There are no auditions and everyone is welcome. Some experience reading music for your instrument is helpful. Sheet music will be provided but please bring your own instrument and music stand. We would also love to have a percussionist and a pianist for some of the selections.
Gelja Will has 6 years of experience as musical director and conductor of the Junior Little String Orchestra and over 20 years teaching violin lessons, group classes and ensembles. She has played violin in various orchestras herself and with her students and children.
Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings from 6-7pm at the Scotland Oakland United Church Hall, 10 Church Street W, Scotland, ON. Tune up starts at 5:45.
